Accurately named the “PACKAGING ANSWER”, our system meets the exacting demands of modern packaging, accommodating virtually all pouch types and configurations.
Pouches loaded ‘on the fly’
To guarantee optimal cycle rates and minimize operator involvement, Urania has developed a safe and effective method of replenishing the pouch magazine without interrupting the process cycle.
Pouch Edge Detection
Using a laser sensor, the Packaging Answer automatically detects and locates the top edge of each pouch as it is removed from the magazine.
Ink Jet Printing & Labeling
The Packaging Answer can label or ink-jet print on one or opposite sides of the supplied pouch as required by customer needs.
Pouch Loading and Sealing
The Packaging Answer can be integrated to an existing Weigh/Dump unit, operated via manual operator loading, or designed to accommodate a customer’s current product delivery system.

A four-position indexer is used to cycle each pouch through 90 degrees of rotation per cycle.

Pouch Loading and Sealing
Loading operations on PouchPro systems can be as simple as an operator dropping an item into an open pouch, or as complex as automatically loading a medical device and desiccant simultaneously from an infeed system.
In compliance with the new UDI mandate for medical devices, our Model 5000P Plus system introduces GS1 Datamatrix printing and a Keyence 2D Code Reader to our existing Allen Bradley controlled rotary band heat sealer.
