About Urania Engineering

With more than 40 years of engineering experience, Urania Engineering has emerged as a leading manufacturer of pre-formed pouch handling and Validatable Heat Sealing equipment.

Our PouchPro ® and Packaging Answer® systems are designed to make all facets of pouch handling and heat sealing simple, yet efficient. Most varieties of pre-made pouch materials and configurations can be facilitated on our systems. Innovative technology and our modular approach to machine design makes Urania the first choice for all of today’s evolving industries.

Our in-house approach to operation keeps all manufactured parts at our facility from the design stage, through machining, and inspection.  We only outsource sheetmetal and plating operations to local facilities in the USA.  Commercial components come from the most familiar names in industry.

We rely on the latest technologies from today’s leading CAD software providers. Both 2D plan drawings and 3D solid models are created using AutoCAD® and SolidWorks® environments.

Our electrical engineering and programming department utilizes cutting-edge Allen Bradley® controllers and servo systems to maximize the functionality and expandability of all our equipment.

All Urania pouch handling and sealing systems include a customer specific documentation package with instructional sections to guide operators through all phases of machine operation from setup to scheduled maintenance.

In addition to providing thorough printed documentation, Urania can also provide its customers with digital instruction and maintenance videos specific to their application. These videos can be supplied on flash drive (or e-mailed) for play on any PC. Since all production work is done by our staff, these customized tools can be delivered in hours… when you need them.

Many of our systems have built-in Ethernet connectivity for remote access.  Simply plug your machine into an open internet connection and our staff can update software, troubleshoot problems, or even run the machine from our facility in Northeast PA.  Many expensive service trips can be replaced by a phone call and our remote access system.
